How to store and recall image using Datamax emulation (SDPL)

Resolution/Answer
Graphic files need to be Monochrome or 1Bit depth.
1. Open the image in .bmp format using a hex editor, for this guide we use Notepad++. Right-click in the image in select Edit with Notepad++.
2. This will open Notepad++, with the code of the image to store it in the printer.
3.Open the file “Store code”, using Notepad++
6. Storing and recalling are case-sensitive for the graphic name. Use only Capital letters for the graphic name. Copy the three lines of code from this file and paste them in the image open with Notepad++, paste the code before the BM header, change the line “name here” to a name to identify the image, for this guide name is changed to SATO1.
7. In Notepad++ click in File and select Save as, make sure that .prn is added at the end of
the name, it is important to save the image as .prn to keep all the special characters
8. Using the SATO All-In-One Utility, send the .prn file to the printer to store the image in the
printer memory, make sure the printer is in SDPL emulation.

9. Using SATO all-in-one browse for the file “recall code” and press the “<-File” button in
the Command Text section, this will show the code in the Command Text window,
change “name here” to the name that the image is store with, for this guide is SATO1
10. Check that printer is Online, press the Send button, to send the recall code to the printer,
this will print the image stored in the printer memory.
11. Don’t close SATO all-in-one, Turn the printer OFF and ON again, press Send, to
send the recall code to the printer, the image should print again.
